My name is Dennis J Walsh and I am student at Boston University studying for my Masters in Computer Information Systems with concentrations in Security and Database Management. I have attended Boston University online since August of 2009, and I am two classes away; MET CS 601 and MET CS 669 (see table below) from graduation in May of 2012. I am currently unemployed and seeking work in my field of study, but have yet to find gainful employment.

Experiences

A little history; I was born on March 26, 1961 in San Francisco, California and raised in Southern Oregon. I graduated from Eagle Point High school in 1980. I served in the United States Airforce, and then worked for Hewlett Packard for 17 years as a Process Development Assistant. My primary responsibilities were to ensure that engineering runs or prototypes were successfully ran through the processes in a timely manner.

During my time working with Hewlett Packard I started college at Boise State University, studying Engineering. I then left engineering because of moving to Corvallis, Oregon in 1994 with Hewlett Packard. In 2004, because of stagnation in my job I decided to return back to college. Information Technology at the time looked like a good career choice, so that became my field of study.

I was layed-off from Hewlett Packard in February of 2006 and then became a supervisor for a plastic molding company in Corvallis. Again, in 2007 I was layed off from that company. My next choice of work was in the transportation field as an independent contractor for CR England. I drove cross country delivering products to multiple businesses such as Coca-cola, Chiquita, Walmart and Hershey. Because I was not making enough to pay for the Semi and send money home! I could no longer afford to keep driving the big rigs.

In 2009 I was hired by CDI corporation as a Technician for Hewlett Packard, a few months later I completed my Bachelors degree in Information Technology. Once I graduated with my Bachelors Degree I started my Masters degree in Computer Information Systems at Boston University. On December 22, 2011, after almost two years with CDI; I was unfortunetely layed-off again from Hewlett Packard because of lack of work. My contract with CDI would have ended in March of 2012. Currently, I am finishing up my Master's degree and looking for work anywhere, at any location, within my field of study.

Family

I have been married for 13 years to my wife Christie, and we have one 11 year old son named Colten. I also have 4 other son's from previous marriages; Dennis, Eric and twin boys Benjamin, and Joshua. Benjamin is currently a student studying Biology at Oregon State University, Joshua will be getting married on March 31, 2012, as far as Dennis Jr and Eric, well, I'll just say we've lost touch.

Education

Like I mentioned above, I am working towards my Masters Degree in Computer Informatin Systems. Below is a list of classes that I have taken and classes that I have to complete in order to graduate in May of 2012.
